your monthly sustainable papakura market

We're out of  COVID restrictions for October 17th market. See you there. Ka Kite.

Third Saturday of each month from 10am-1pm at the Papakura Edmund Hillary Library Foyer.

Shop Local, Live more Sustainably, and engage with your Community

Our Sustainable Market makes a vibrant addition to the Town Centre. Ably organised by Trust member Paula Kroese, this is a place to pause and shop your heart out. Its also the place to  enjoy socialising, and talking sustainability as a community.

This Market began in 2013 as the colourful Homemade Market, outside the Pahurehure Shopping Centre. In 2015,  re branded, the Handmade Market celebrated its 2nd birthday at its new indoor venue at the Papakura Recreation Centre with 40 stall holders attending on a regular basis. Now the market operates under its new name, ‘Sustainable Papakura Market’, in the very accessible Library Foyer in the Papakura Town Centre.

Things To Buy

At the Market you’ll find all sorts of practical and artistic items made by friendly local crafts people. Save on packaging, delivery costs and petrol too, by shopping local.

Several times a year the market will also have stalls selling jumble.
